What it does

Sliver (Bishop Fox) is a modern, cross-platform C2 with mTLS, HTTP(S), and DNS transports plus rich implant features. It's a widely adopted open-source Cobalt Strike alternative.

Common use cases

  • Cross-platform adversary emulation targeting Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints.
  • Operate C2 over mTLS for encrypted, authenticated communications resistant to inspection.
  • Generate dynamic implants with per-session certificates and wireguard-style encryption.

Key features

  • Supports mTLS, HTTP(S), DNS, and wireguard-based C2 transport protocols.
  • Generates fully static implants with no runtime dependencies on target systems.
  • Integrated Bash and PowerShell session execution with file upload and download.
  • Armory plugin system extends functionality with community-contributed modules.
